Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends. After a slight delay, You Don’t Know Flack is back with an episode all about modchips, those devious little devices that allow you to do naughty things with your videogame consoles. In this episode I talk about the history of modchips, from the original Sony PlayStation to the last generation of consoles.
Another year, another relaunch. On episode 147 of You Don’t Know Flack I bring us into the new year by reflecting back on past holiday traditions and comparing them to my family’s current traditions. After a relaxing December I’m hoping to shake the ring rust off with this episode and get things back on track. In 2014 I’ll be alternating podcasts, with You Don’t Know Flack one week and Sprite Castle the following week.
Getting back to arcade games, I spent November 15-17 in Denver, Colorado hanging around the 1UP Arcade attending the 3rd Annual Kong Off Tournament. Billy Mitchell, Steve Wiebe, Walter Day and the 32 best Donkey Kong players in the world attended the tournament. In this episode of You Don’t Know Flack I talk about my time spent at the Kong Off 3 and some of the other classic arcades I visited in and around Denver!
Throughout the years, several people have asked me how to get started podcasting. I’ve never sat down and wrote or recorded an answer to that question… until now. With audio submissions from several of my fellow podcasters, this episode is packed full of podcast-related hints, tips, suggestions, and most of all, encouragement!
Better late than never, on this episode of You Don’t Know Flack I rummage through my old Halloween memories, from trick-or-treating back then to trick-or-treating today. I run through most of the costumes I’ve worn in my life and talk about old and new Halloween parties. Not much tech talk on this one, but still a good listen.
