This week’s game is awesome, radical, and totally tubular — it’s 1987’s California Games by Epyx! Also on this episode I talk about how you can become the honorary “King of the Castle” each episode. Listen closely!
If you would like to play along, you can find links to download Vice (a Commodore 64 emulator) along with all the games played on Sprite Castle by clicking on the downloads tab at the top of the page. Next episode we will be covering Break Street by Creative Software.

Listen. I know this sounds like a terrible idea for a show. It’s not as bad as it sounds, I promise. Just wait until you hear about all the fun I used to have printing things out with Print Shop!

Okay, so it’s not really every computer I’ve ever owned, but it’s every computer I’ve ever owned and actually used. My fellow hoarders understand the difference.
Seasons Greetings, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! On the first You Don’t Know Flack of 2015 I talk about my history with cassette tapes. C’mon, it’s not as boring as yet another 24 hour Christmas Story marathon.
On this episode of You Don’t Know Flack, I talk about my latest attempt to get an emulation PC up and running in my living room. I run through the parts I bought, the front end I settled on, and some of the work it took to get things up and running. I’ll probably end up writing and posting a more detailed “how to” article on my website, but this episode is a good overview as to what I did to get things up and running.
If you remember hearing (or saying) “I want my MTV,” then this episode is for you! In episode 153 of You Don’t Know Flack I talk about the classic era of MTV, from August 1st, 1981 when the channel began until the Real World, Road Rules, and all those other reality shows ruined everything. I talk a bit about Headbanger’s Ball, Yo! MTV Raps, and discuss some of the other shows that appeared on MTV over the years.
In this episode I talk a bit about my visit to Rancho Obi-Wan before jumping in with lasers blazing and talking about as many Star Wars video games, computer games, arcade games and pinball games as a guy can in 75 minutes. I don’t cover ’em all, but it turns out there are hundreds of them so I did my best.
Visiting Disneyland for the first time last month put me in the mood to tell old stories about theme parks.
The opposite of last week’s show, this week’s episode of You Don’t Know Flack is definitely non-technical. “The Creek” was out behind my house and I spent a lot of time playing and collecting stories out there.
I’m back at home and back on the mic with another episode of You Don’t Know Flack. This episode is about the exciting world of computer networks! Okay, so maybe it doesn’t sound that exciting, but give it a chance! This episode’s “loading time” is longer than usual as I discuss my experience with a network-related boot camp I recently attended.
